Life Path Number 4

Structure, stability, foundation. What things are built upon. Reliable and sometimes limiting.

Core traits

The 4 is the builder: method, routine, the satisfaction of a thing done properly. Four is the square, the table with four legs, the number that does not wobble. Its strength is reliability and the stamina to do the unglamorous middle of a project. The traditional weakness is rigidity: the plan becoming more important than the thing the plan was for.

Work and relationships

A 4 is said to be happiest where effort is visible and rewarded in proportion. Chaos and improvisation drain it. The relationship caution in the tradition is about mistaking control for care.

Which birthdays give a 4

Totals of 13, 31 or 40 (22 is kept as a master number; see that page). Example: April 1, 1997 → 4 + 1 + (1+9+9+7 = 26 → 8) = 13 → 4. Plain 4s are less common than you would expect because so many totals of 22 are kept as the master number instead.
